The Real Revolution in Fashion

IMK Eternal Values, Not Seasonal Values

You know the rhythm

New season.

New drop.

New campaign.

New you.

Fast fashion taught us that our value is seasonal — like fruit that expires after four weeks. Even sustainable fashion, as progressive as it tries to be, can still get caught in the churn - Earth Month capsule here. Mindful edit there.

But at In My Kingdom (IMK), we don’t move on trend cycles.

We move on truth cycles. And that’s why we’re calling for a shift. From seasonal values to eternal values. From momentary aesthetics to permanent alignment.

What Are Seasonal Values in Fashion?

Seasonal values are the surface-level ethics and marketing messages that change based on popularity or cultural pressure. They sound good — but they’re often hollow.

Examples:

  • “Buy less” during Earth Week, then launch 70 new items in May.

  • “Body positivity” one month, “heroin chic” revival the next.

  • “Support women” in March, exploit women in sweatshops all year.

Seasonal values bend to the times. They’re reactive. Performative. Shaky.

And you feel it — that discomfort, that sense of being marketed to, not moved.

What Are Eternal Values in Fashion?

Eternal values don’t shift with popularity. They aren’t crafted by marketing teams — they’re coded into the soul of the brand.

Examples of Eternal Values:

  • Honour: Upholding truth, even when no one’s watching.

  • Justice: Committing to ethical production regardless of trend pressure.

  • Truthfulness: Not overpromising what the garment can’t deliver.

  • Dignity: Creating pieces that elevate the wearer — spiritually and socially.

  • Reverence: Approaching design as sacred, not disposable.

At IMK, these are not brand values. They’re Kingdom codes.

They exist whether it’s January or June. Whether sustainability is trending or not. Whether you’re watching or not.

How You Can Shop by Eternal Values (Not Seasonal Ones)

Here's how to shift your fashion mindset:

1. Look Beyond the Launch

Ask - Does this brand really live what it posts? Do their values continue outside trend cycles?

2. Buy Pieces That Speak to Your Spirit, Not the Season Instead of “what’s in right now,”

Ask- What aligns with who I’m becoming? Clothes should evolve with your character, not just your closet.

3. Honour the Energy in Your Clothes Re-wear what holds memory. Keep what was worn in breakthrough seasons. Mend the meaningful. Give away with prayer.

4. Support Brands That Stand On Their Word Watch their actions. Do they keep their promises? Do they drop slow, with meaning? Or fast, with noise?

5. Reject the Pressure to Constantly Update Eternal fashion doesn’t demand updates — it demands alignment. Own less. Mean more.

Why IMK Will Never Be Trend-First

We’re not anti-style. We live for bold silhouettes and spiritual prints. But we’re value-first. You’ll never see us pump out hollow collections for short attention spans. You’ll never find our ethics up for sale when a cheaper shortcut presents itself.

We stand. We declare. We expect.

We wear values that are older than empires and stronger than trend reports.

Fashion Is Evolving — The Next Era Is Sacred

We believe the future of sustainable fashion isn’t in more data — it’s in more depth.

We don’t just design for today. We design for the eternal inside you.

In My Kingdom

Where the Power and Glory are Yours.
